Mohawks finish 6th at Open Indoor Nationals

The Mohawks went to Manchester for Indoor Nationals over the weekend (28th/29th November) and came back finishing in 6th place. Considering we were seeded 11th going in and have not made the top 8 for the last 5 years, this result is amazing. Well done to the Mohawks for an incredible weekend of Ultimate and great weekend of team love. Bring on outdoors! (Published Mon 30th November 19:38)

Women's Skills and Drills weekend @ Sussex

On November 21 and 22, Brighton Women (our local club team, a top-4 UK Women's team) are hosting a weekend of outdoor women's ultimate right here at Sussex University. With a Saturday of skills and drills (open to local players and university women) and a Sunday Hat Tournament (open to all women! Email msvhurst (at) gmail.com to sign up now!), it's bound to be an action-packed weekend. And maybe, just maybe, we'll let the boys party with us on Saturday night... Sign up on the 'tournament' page, and drop me a line to let me know you're interested. With several other universities already signed up, it's shaping up to be an awesome weekend. Women also qualify for Nationals

This weekend the Squaws headed over to Southampton for University Women's Indoor Regionals. For the first time ever we took two teams to regionals (though one was ineligible) who fought it out in two very long days of ultimate. By the end of the weekend Squaws 2 finished 16th (by default) whilst Squaws 1 finished 7th and qualified for nationals!! Well done to everyone who played, it was a great weekend of women's ultimate. Good luck to the Squaws heading to Nationals in Loughborough on the 5th & 6th of December. (Published Sun 8th November 22:55)

Mohawks qualify for Indoor Nationals

Saturday 31st October saw the Mohawks send 3 teams to Indoor Regionals in Hatfield. The first team finished 2nd and qualified for division 1 of nationals! The second team came out of a very difficult pool to end 13th and bring home the plate! Whilst the third team did brilliantly to get themselves in a position to have a shot at nationals and ended up 11th, but also finishing joint 2nd in the spirit scores! All in all it was a fantastic (yet very long) day and the Mohawks did brilliantly to finish where they did. Good luck to Mohawks 1 at Nationals!

Nationals are in Manchester on the 28th/29th November (Published Tue 3rd November 18:13)
