UMON, Newcastle, April 2007
So last weekend we sent some guys and gals up to sunny newcastle for a bit of ultimate, mixed style, and heres a little account of what we got up to.
Wed 9 May 2007 by Bob

a day in the life...
Do not feel compelled to read this. It is merely a summation of yesterday's mohawks social that was as spontaneous as the combustion of Spinal Tap's 3rd drummer! Some of the older Hawks might remember similar stories of spontaneity but its been a while for me! For your entertainment....

UMIN, Hull, February 2007
For now, all you need to know is that Bob brought a snowboard to an indoor ultimate frisbee tournament
Tue 8 May 2007 by Bob

Women's Indoor Regionals, Southampton, January 2007
The game is followed by a rather mammoth round of ninjas and evolution, which in turn is followed by a massive sweaty group hug, which gets us a cheer from our spectators. Yep, we had spectators for our call, that’s how cool we were.

Indoor Nationals, Sheffield, December 2006

Skunks mini, Southampton, October 2006
For the sake of people reading this and not know about our team….it was named Tony Harrison after the character in the Mighty Boosh. It was dreamed up by post, our captain for the weekend.

Plymouth Beginners, Plymouth duh!, October 2006
The tournament which may well define the future of the Mohawks. This was the first time the Mohawks had ever travelled down to the far south west for a beginners tournament and what a tournament it was. MOHAWKS

Div 2, Cardiff, April 2006
A little while before nationals, Felix sent out an email to uniultimate, backing us Mohawks to take the title. The pressure was on, could we live up to it?

UMON, Newcastle, April 2006
So, we set off to Newcastle as I remember it, in a minibus, as I remember it, to play some fris-bee. Here's the whole story....

SEUOR, Cambridge, March 2006
So some guy in some place decided to hold a tournament and call it 'outdoor regionals'. I was like hey, there are worse ways to spend my weekend, so I spoke to my homeboys, and a few of them were up for going

-----

All I can say is that you guys are amazing and I'm proud to say that I'm a part of the Mohawks 2, the best second team in the region.

Your one and only, Kimi

Skunks Xmas, 03-04 Dec '05
As there was a Ratcouch and a Mohawks team, there should be 2 tournament reports, but people had such a great time, that somehow there are 3! Lazy Dan, Kimmy and Sick Bob's interpretations of the events...

Division 2, 26-27 Nov '05
As the night progressed, flip cup grew and grew until a vast majority of the party was either playing or heckling flip cup. Flip cup culminated in an epic match that pitted the mighty mohawks from Brighton against their southeastern rivals and newly sociable sublime.

SE Indoor Regionals '05, Brighton

Edinburgh Beginner's October 2005
I’d just like to thank everyone that came, it was my first tournament and it is easily one of the best experiences I’ve had since I got here in September and I hope to do it again. To everyone that hasn’t been in a tournament yet, you haven’t experienced the true Mohawk Ultimate spirit until you’ve been trapped in a mini-bus with 15 of them for a monstrous 10 hour mission into Scotland, so sign up for the next tournament!!!!
Tue 15 Nov 2005 by Bob

Skunks mini, 22-23rd Oct '05
It's 7 AM on Saturday the 22nd of October and the campus is empty except for the few students returning from a long night of drinking. Half the campus went to sleep just and hour or two ago leaving only the Mohawk Frisbee team to gather in front of York house for the two-hour drive to Southampton.

SEULL event 19/Oct/05 Brighton
The first SEULL 05/06 event hosted by the Mohawks was a huge success - at 2pm on Wednesday there were about 80 people gathered on the Sussex University campus, getting accustomed to throwing discs in the wind.

Brighton at Mixed Nationals, York, September 2005
Taster extract:
After a crazy evening which involved drunken hugs,
praise for everyone for everything they've done all year, lying in the
grass outside our dorms, standing on tables spraying diet coke
-everywhere-, smoking out of skylights like schoolboys, late night
massages, being surrounded by 16-year old German schoolkids on holiday
listening to mobile ringtones on loop, running down pitch black
alleyways,

Brighton at Open Nationals, Mansfield, September 2005
Great weekend guys, I was impressed by everyone at some point, and we achieved a result to be proud of (when you consider we only had 8 players per team - overstretched, will learn from that mistake).

IRONMAN SE Indoor regionals November 2003
Just a quick note to say well done to the hardcore guys who played at the regionals this weekend. It was emotionally moving stuff seeing u give it your all. That game against Reading was a struggle, well done for keeping the spirit, soldiers.
It was a struggle for me not being able to sub on and save some of you.
As i wiped a tear from my eye, i realised how proud i was to call myself a Mohawk!!

A touched Ham.

Skunks Silver Jubilee Tournament Report, January 2003
Picture the scene, if you will - it's Stupid O'Clock, on Saturday
the 11th of January, and it's cold. Waking up to alarms and being
too tired to remember quite why they were set... A single red
minibus drives around Brighton, picking up seven sleepy Mohawks, as
follows:

Edinburgh Beginner's November 2002
"It's 12:00am. If you don't have your television lisence, you're
being hunted down as we speak. But you're not watching the tele,
are you? You're riding the radio waves. You're listening to
(insert music here) Radio Free Kyle."

Brixton Indoor Regional Qualifiers February 2002
Yo.

This report is bound to sound weird, because I'm also sending it in to the
student newspaper, thus have to make it comprehendible for those unwise in
the ways of the disc. Also, I copied and pasted it from Word.

Women's student Nationals, May 2002
Okay, so here goes:

Friday night, we eventually got underway in the
musicless minibus
*sniff* with me dutifully promising that it will
only take 3 hours.
Honest.

Edinburgh Beginner's November 2001
Juicy taster:
...turned into a mammouth hangover
battle, with one point lasting 6 minutes - rock on the
beginner who had to stay on the pitch after that
point... with the alchohol being sweated out of our
pores, we groaned and rolled on into sudden death...
